Looks like feed and breather to me.

Hi John

Does look like a pressure fitting.  One pipe to the pump and one to a gauge? It looks from the photo to be just behind the filler neck, in which case the pipes could easily be routed to the dash area.  The filler cap could well have been changed.

Cheers

Howard

Does the Ruby need such an outlet?  Does the rear tank RP have one?  I would have thought there was enough air leakage at the cap to prevent creating a vacuum, if that is the purpose of it.  Has anyone tried blocking it off?

This morning taking our SWB Saloon to visit Robert and John Forman in rural Kent. I haven't seen John for around 20 years and we spent a very pleasant couple of hours looking over the workshop and their cars and chatting about old times. A very impressive set up with two people who are immensely skilled in using their kit. Definitely people who should be allowed to own spanners Wink Wink

I was very jealous when I learned you were visiting today Steve - it is a very long way from us but I felt very at home at Chez Foreman.

Kent is incredibly rural and beautiful, this was a surprise to me on my first visit but very much relished on my second! Enjoy your holiday!

Robert passed on your message, Ruairidh. Weather isn't exactly great but we've been to places we've not been to before. Highlight so far has been Dungeness. Robert told me a couple of days ago that it has something of a world's end about it and I now see what he means. Moving on to Suffolk next week, somewhere else we've never been. Malcom wanted a photo of Dungeness Old Lighthouse. He's now got that and has ordered a photo of Southwold Lighthouse, both with added A7 of course!!

I'm in London some of next week but could head over to where you are for a social pint when I'm back on home turf. Local pub meet next Saturday as well......
