Thread size - Tiger - 07-10-2018 Hello Any idea what the thread size is of the window winder retaining screw. Regards Tim RE: Thread size - Colin Morgan - 07-10-2018 Hi On my car (1937 ARR) - 2BA - 4.7mm O.D. Regards Colin RE: Thread size - Tiger - 07-10-2018 Thanks Colin RE: Thread size - Ruairidh Dunford - 07-10-2018 I think this is actually another 3/16 BSF thread (like the fan blade securing screws) - they are very similar to 2BA. RE: Thread size - Colin Morgan - 07-10-2018 3/16 BSF = 0.1875" diameter and 32 threads/inch 2BA = 0.1850" diameter and 31.36 threads/inch You are right Ruairidh - they are very close - a new 2BA screw does fit - not sure what mine are now - they are somewhat worn, chromed but crossheaded, so not original? Colin RE: Thread size - Ruairidh Dunford - 07-10-2018 Within a gnat’s hair of each other! RE: Thread size - Colin Morgan - 08-10-2018 David, I agree, cross-head screws look terrible on a Seven - but they came with the car and I have nothing else chromed of that size (3/16" BSF or even 2BA!).
