RE: AllAlloyCup progress - AllAlloyCup - 28-03-2019 Hi Hedd I have a set templates for most of the ash and plywood parts If you want to borrow them? I’ve also got the original CD of plans if anyone wants to buy it. Regards Bill G RE: AllAlloyCup progress - Hedd_Jones - 28-03-2019 ive got a complete frame on the chassis. and a set of ply ready trimmed to cover it Bill RE: AllAlloyCup progress - AllAlloyCup - 29-03-2019 ECF1119B-8D73-48B8-B6DD-566164ED6FB1.jpeg (Size: 107.29 KB / Downloads: 219) 60127976-B9E1-4E33-BF32-8676B2B60366.jpeg (Size: 69.76 KB / Downloads: 218) Now that the body tubs been lacquered and hardened off I spent a couple of hours re-fitting the tonneau lift a dot stainless steel studs , the cockpit cappings, Interior trim panels and the windscreen. Now looking even more like a vintage car. The new seats and floors are ready to fit as well so tomorrow I might get to sit in the drivers seat for the first time even though it’s got no engine or wings! Next jobs planned: refit boot cover and install instruments Regards Bill G Aka AllAlloyCup RE: AllAlloyCup progress - Ruairidh Dunford - 30-03-2019 Bill, I was watching one of those crappy TV restoration programmes the other day and saw them regrain a Delorean. The process, using a large flapwheel, on the Stainless Steel may be of interest to you... Google “how to regrain your Delorean” and you will see what I mean. We shall be near you over the Easter Weekend, maybe catchbup then and you can have a look at my catches etc. RE: AllAlloyCup progress - AllAlloyCup - 30-03-2019 Hi Ruairidh Thanks for the tip about Deleoreans. A flap wheel would be too vicious on alloy I think. Hope to see you at Easter with the family. I can show you the various bits I’ve already plated. Neil’s dropped off his hinges etc and had started on Making his catches. Hope to sort out the woodwork round my catches today. Once done I can finalise the lacquering on two doors See you soon Regards Bill Ps will sort out my Guildtown form! RE: AllAlloyCup progress - Ruairidh Dunford - 30-03-2019 It was more the process Bill, I am sure you could adapt abrasive to suit. Whatever, hope to see you then too. R RE: AllAlloyCup progress - AllAlloyCup - 30-03-2019 Having a tea break from cockpit assembly and found this Cup for sale in Holland. Anyone know who made this one? Looks in nice order, but pretty high price ? No details of engine spec or V5C???? Regards Bill G RE: AllAlloyCup progress - Peter Johnson - 30-03-2019 I quite like the look of whatever is next to it too. Looks very GN-ish. Peter RE: AllAlloyCup progress - MartinH - 30-03-2019 Valid reg no on DVLA and the reg is no more than a year or two old as I was given BF87xx in October 2018 RE: AllAlloyCup progress - AllAlloyCup - 31-03-2019 The E8CE73F2-D307-48D1-87AC-EA51C8158ADD.jpeg (Size: 74.63 KB / Downloads: 341) 895B7595-863E-4AF6-BD03-42A7CE087968.jpeg (Size: 135.3 KB / Downloads: 341) 5494679F-05B7-4BD2-95E2-EFA8F4421438.jpeg (Size: 136.17 KB / Downloads: 340) Another sunny day so was able to roll The Cup out into the sun. Spent a couple of hours adjusting the door fits and Catches and finalising the boot area. Will be Able to lacquer the doors now. Most of the interior trim now installed permanently. Due to the change in GMT thought I’d fit the 8 day clock. What can I do in 8 days I wonder? Regards Bill G Aka AllAlloyCup |
