Manx Motor Museum at Jurby - Mick Hanna - 13-09-2018

Just returned from motorbike trip to the Isle of Man. Some great transport museums. I spotted these three cars in the Manx Motor Museum at Jurby.

I visited this Museum two years ago when it had just opened I think
, the Chummy is reputedly the Austin 7 from the Dad’s Army
Episode where it is towed and finally whirls round a tree with
A nice bit of stop motion filming!

First time I had heard of Flower Cars , which they had several of
Basically American Muscle Cars, made into long pickups with
The load bed lined in stainless for carrying the host of floral tributes
To follow the cortège and the hearse!

And the Ulster belonged to Doug Baird when I was there - is he still around?   Cheers,  Bill in Oz
