RE: Melbourne coachbuilt James Flood saloon... - JonE - 12-09-2018 from the facebook photos, it appears to have a later dash panel. It almost harks at designs coming up several years later in the Ruby... I wonder if it was built later on an earlier chassis? I don't think so - the general style is totally in keeping with British body shapes of the 1931-32 period. When did the oval Nippy dash panel first appear? RE: Melbourne coachbuilt James Flood saloon... - Ruairidh Dunford - 12-09-2018 1932, from memory. Ruairidh - Although I never look at Facebook and haven't seen the dashboard in question, I guess it would be the same raised oval section, central in the dash, as the tourer that the Lovely Stella from the BA7C owned. It had a chassis No. 141xxx, registered in September 1931, which would have been the announced 1932 model. So you're right again! Cheers, Bill RE: Melbourne coachbuilt James Flood saloon... - Duncan Logan - 18-09-2018 The white one has a Meteor style front and the black one looks more like a Wasp front. |
