They must be rare already with the number of 1950s Hamblin, Ashley etc. bodies that have been cast aside to make a "vintage" A7 special with chassis and running gear. Whatever traditionalists may think of them, these cars are still an important piece of the Austin Seven story

Well said Stuart - I couldn't agree more, hence my current project, though I admit to preferring the lines of the slightly less commonly encountered Silverstone. Mar...(sh) berfore he met ...Cos(tin) and another great piece of the story.
We are getting there slowly, but despite the history it still attracts a fair bit of disdain as a kit car.
