Rear axle - shoes don’t fit - Bryan - 27-07-2018
finally started to get the replacement diff ready to go back into the car. Only to find the brake shoes no longer fit.
Diff is the screw type. It appears that the shoe pivots have been relocated at some stage.

It may have been modified to take the late Austin shoe.

Thanks Ruairidh, do the later ones require different drums?
I’ll check the shelves tomorrow to see if I have any that came with the ruby

The drums were of a different design for the shoes and cast iron (I think), they work extremely well. I have a feeling that earlier drums will fit however.
