It's a job to know what to say. The vendor deserves some brownie points for honesty, the under bonnet  photos show that no swift application of black Hammerite has tried to smarten the appearance, including the famous competition low compression head. Sevens can have a side draft or updraft carb, and in my dissolute youth I recall downdraft Webers. But what is this, a Z draft, or the more romantic name of Swan's Neck manifold? I could see no reference in a Green Companion, and the newly arrived splendidly illustrated catalogue does not suggest anything similar is avaiable from North Walsham.
