Steve. you are too kind! How did Saturday's run go?
Discovered yesterday that the Landrover suppliers had sent me the wrong first motion shaft seal, so off to Oswestry in the Seven to get the correct one. Hoping to set the gearbox back in today and by the end of this week that I will have two vehicles running.

We used to have a sectionalised Landy gearbox in the Driving School when I was there (the one with the yellow and red levers). I have never seen anything so agricultural (but I guess that's why)! Best of luck with the re-build.

Thank you Bruce. Happy to say that I got back with the new seal at 2 pm and Leon and I with the help of a beefy friend got them gearbox in during the afternoon, and it works! Got to finish putting the cab back together today.
Did over 100 miles in the Seven yesterday morning running about.

Bought myself a spare engine ! yep the sort that's stood in a shed for 20 years then sold, never used or moved for another 25 now in my possession.. First thing is to clean it, I'm guessing a mix of Diesel and petrol old paint brush and load of towels should help.
Then free it up and see what I have... already very happy its complete and not a piles of parts in a box...

Well Poppy and I have just got back from the Tour de Bretagne arranged by the ABVA. What an event with over 800 vehicles and with usual French anarchy and good food. Lots of Ricard with several friends. 3 Austin 7s, several Rosengarts but I have fallen for a 1913 Le Zebre.

Sorry, not a Seven this time, but yesterday I had the pleasure of appraising this 1933 barn find Talbot 75, 5-seater saloon. A magnificent beast! Love the Town and Country's on the rear.

That's a beauty Chris. If only there were something like this which could manage 40mpg I might be tempted...
