RE: Suitable horns - Erich - 24-04-2019 Hi Jays, I don't know if I posted the link previously. Here is a link to the fellow in Oz who rebuilds Klaxettes. As far as originality, I believe that some Ulsters were fitted with these. James Anderson's car has a Klaxette. I have no reason to endorse this fellow, other than I received a horn from him and it was as advertised. Plus, he later sent some spares at no extra cost. http://www.klaxonhorns.com Erich in Seattle RE: Suitable horns - Ruairidh Dunford - 24-04-2019 Brief mention of horns here: http://archive.a7ca.org/wp-content/uploads/IC_A7_BG.pdf RE: Suitable horns - GK5268 - 24-04-2019 On a Rist horn, the diaphragm can split, which makes affects the sound output, replacements parts are obtainable, I have fitted this and makes all the difference! https://www.austinseven.club/austin_7_seven_rist_horn_repairs.html RE: Suitable horns - Jays - 24-04-2019 Thanks for the link Erich. I’ll contact him and see what he’s got. In the meantime I think my cobbled together set up will frighten old ladies pretty well. |
