The earliest car by some way was this 1899 Benz Velo, the owner was running the engine for a while in the afternoon and I took the oportunity to grab a bit of video to go with the photos I took.

In with the stationary engines was this wonderful contraption. A household fan from the late 1800s, driven by self contained Stirling engine.
One of my favourite areas of the museum, is the machine shop...
To finish, the video as promised showing some of the moving exhibits, and many of the cars on their way out of the museum at the end of the day.
