Bill has rightly deduced that the post war Coupe George Boillot was a handicap race. As Beatrice remarks, the Austins had a start of 1 hour 6.5 minutes over the scratch group, which in this instance were the 5 litre category. You can just see one of the winning 1100cc Chenard "Tanks" at the back of the grid. That would be leaving 15 minutes after the Austin. I am not surprised that the drivers are out of their cars but I am surprised that they are not still in the bar!
