  Indicator wires
Posted by: PeteWilts - 21-09-2019, 07:05 PM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (3)

I'm fitting indicators to my AAK. Not an easy task when taking over where the previous owner left off long ago, but I'm getting there. My question is, were do other members run their wires to the rear indicators?

Now starting to move my A7 Ruby.
When selecting reverse after applying the brake
Is it normal not to be able to release the brake.
Just thought I would ask.

My previous post refers to the handbrake

  Dragging cluch
Posted by: Tom Coates - 20-09-2019, 02:09 PM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (8)

I find it impossible to get into 1st gear on my three speed box with grating the gears. Its ok when cold but troublesome once everything has warmed up. Any thoughts? There's no problem once its on the move.

I relined the clutch last year and thought I'd got everything set up right. I tend to run with a bare minimum of oil in the box having had problems with it getting on the clutch.

Also, what is the recommendation for oiling the thrust race? The consequences of over or under oiling seem to be pretty dramatic!

Thanks

Tom

  2022 French trip?
Posted by: bobthompson - 20-09-2019, 08:51 AM - Forum: Forum chat... - Replies (1)

I seem to recall earlier this year somebody wrote in one of the Mags asking for initial expressions of interest, for a 2022 trip from North France down to North Spain in May/June. I cannot find where I carefully saved that - can anybody please point me towards the organiser?

  All American road trip

Hi all,

For us, it's the end of another long hard summer. Keeping customers cars on the road.

Well trying, as some bits are get harder each year to supply.

So now it's time for our holiday.

Due to sorting postal orders right up to 9.30 am the day we fly out. we are as poorly prepared as last year.

At 10.00am wednesday we headed for the airport, nice and early. We had a fearly pleasant 10 hour flight. And then an absolute nightmare at the car rental desk. Much money latter it's sorted. And at 9.00pm usa time that's 3.00am UK time. we reach our first hotel absolutely knackered.

Now the holiday actually starts.

If you want to know we're we are, and are a car nut. Same as us. Here is were we are starting.

Plenty of clues in the pic.

Tony.

You are welcome to stick with us.

I'm sure there is plenty of car stuff to come.

Although austin 7s may be few and far between.

Tony.
