Drag Link Rod Preload Adjustment

Why? Even after replacing the drag link cups and springs (and new balls....) I found I could never completely remove the play from the drag link ends. The photograph above shows the method used. The set screw is adjusted for correct preload (controls the spring tension) and the outer nut shown acts as a lock nut. Both ends have been modified as shown.

Note that high tensile steel components should be used here.
