Thanks for that Austin, but I will be in Iceland on the date of the auction and due to work commitments can't view the car, looks nice though!

You can always put in a proxy bid if you're keen. The good thing with that is that you can't get carried away and exceed your self-imposed limit . ;-)

Afraid I am away on viewing day,and the auction house does not know where the car is at the moment (spoke with them today) so looks like I will have to give this one a miss.

Thanks for that, just been looking at the car on e bay,and it's in Nottingham which is only about 15 miles from where I live, I work away from home but will be back on Wednesday so will probably go and have a look at it, looks nice from the photos, but you never know, went to look at one advertised on Car and Classic for nigh on 10k, wouldn't even pull off the guys drive, and a so called seven expert to boot!
Nice to know how much it went for at auction. Let you know if it's any good.
Thanks again

Hi all
Just to let you know that I am now the owner of ABC 885 Pearl cabriolet known as "Bluebell".It is in good condition, but needs a "few" jobs doing, mainly sorting the lights as some do not work, oil leak from the valve chest and a good service. If anyone has any information about the car, (apparently it is well known),then please contact me especiallto aly about the engine which according to the log book is 858cc. It is also fitted with a supaloy head and alloy high capacity sump.hope to be out and about in it as soon as I have the time to sort the lights and oil leak!
Thanks to all
Ian
