58mm pistons
#1
Went to collect my block from boring today, unfortunately it didn't clean up at .060" and will apparently need liners, or bore to .080".
I preference the latter, does anyone have a set of 58mm pistons they would like to sell, or trade for a new unused set of .060" pistons .
Tony is out of 58mm and I don't want to spend £220 on a set from one of our other cherished suppliers before exploring other possibilities.
I do have another block at .020" but don't want to bore that to .060" it would be a waste of good metal

Well, the Workshop has a complete range of sizes up to and including +.080 for £168 it would seem. There is always a risk associated with +.080 that the cylinder walls could be getting very thin (depending on the block casting) so be wary of that...

Hi Hugh

Thanks for response, I do buy from Jamie.
His largest oversize is .080"
58mm = .083"  I need that extra .003" to get rid of some light rust pitting.
I could run his Pistons with extra clearance but not ideal.
