Looking for a usable block

As the title says.

I am looking for a usable engine block.

My Son recently bought a 1932 Saloon, his first classic car purchase.  It had a "bit of a water leak" but he thought it wouldn't take much fixing.  Sadly upon investigation, the block is totally scrap, cracked everywhere & already filled with plastic padding.

He is therefore desperately looking for a decent usable engine block or cheap backwards facing starter motor engine to get him back on track.

Any offers of suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Mark - what approx number is the engine/chassis? I think I might have one that sort of age which is good except one slight crack above the side water outlet... and thus you could have it for what you can get it shipped for. But not near you though so may not justify.
