Dave Wilcox Memorial Trial 28-12-2017
#11
Not many piccies, I'm afraid; I arrived at 10.30 thinking I would have plenty of time to see all the sections, so spent an hour on section 1, only to learn that some competitors were completing their final climb of the day! It was all over by 12.30. There seemed to be a very small turnout; where was everyone?

I'd just like to thank everyone for attending our Trial, competitors, marshals, organisers and spectators. Everyone appeared to thoroughly enjoy it.
Numbers were slightly down, not helped by the weather, but the snow and ice made for an added dimension.

Yes, we finished early due to most competitors finishing the first round of hills in good time, so we deciding to press on without a break. This allowed continuity and was appreciated by all as most people were able to reach home before dark. Especial thanks to the marshals who did a double shift in the snowy conditions!

Finally thanks for the excellent photographs which give a flavour of the conditions and the day.

Chris
Clerk of the Course.
