Trafficator not closing properly
#1
Hi Folks,

I'm new to this forum and wondered whether anyone could advise me please.  I bought some trafficators in external boxes for my RP a while ago and I've just had them fitted by a friend who has resprayed the car.  They pop out nice and lively and one closes properly when the power is removed.  The other one closes fully but doesn't stay in it's box, it kind of hangs loosely half-outside.  Unfortunately I've just had the car painted so I'm reluctant to pull the box to pieces to look at it unless I have to, so I wondered what is supposed to hold it in the closed position and what might have gone wrong.  It has always worked fine when I've tried it off the car up to now.  Also I don't recognise the make or model of the trafficator, they don't look like the SF80's fitted to my Morris Eight, they have a flat chrome strip on the top.

Any words of wisdom would be very gratefully received!  Many thanks.
