nippy headlights
#1
Thanks JonE, re nippy lights, have clicked the link and will obtain a copy of C.Goulds booklet.

sorry guys, wanted to know about nippy headlights, thread appeared in wanted section and sharp eyed, JonE suggested Chis Goulds book for all these types of questions .
some lights on the Nippy are short and stubby with flat glass,  like morris 8s , which look good. The other being slightly larger in length, both types chromed. which is correct?
In meantime will pick up C. Gualds book for future reference.

Hello Rpm. As a general rule the type 65 was fitted with Lucas type 35 lamps with flat Lucas-Graves reeded glasses (as the RN). Nippys were initially fitted with Lucas LB130 lamps with flat 'Diffusa glasses (RP box and Mk1 Ruby) and from 1936 Lucas L131 or 133 with curved 'tear drop' glasses..  It should be noted that these lamps are vertically mounted i.e the mounting is immediately below the medallion (badge) unlike the saloon where it is at 32degrees.
