 A bit esoteric it's a warning sign for an electric fence!
 It seems after Herbert had trouble with his Aussie manufacturers of sheep shearing parts, in conjunction with Fred Wolseley he set up a manufacturing facility in the UK called Wolseley Sheep Shearing Machine co. This diversified to include other farming items. Herbert remained a director till 1933 and the name change to Wolseley Engineering occurred in 1952.
 So a very tenuous link to 'erbert but we can say he oversaw the development of this item. Anyway I needed a sign at our front gate to warn people not to touch the electric fence ! .  The donkeys can't read but their noses give them the message  "stay away from the garden"
