I am looking for an 1 1/8 phoenix crank for building a spare engine for my 27 chummy.
Although not known for my patience, I will wait in the queue, but if anyone has one they would consider selling, please give me a shout.

Apparently an 1 5/16 will also fit, but I'm guessing that this would involve quite a lot of mods?
I am not going racing- mainly to the off- licence and back.

Steve, hardly any modifications to fit the 1  5/16 crank and a much better prospect .
You would need later main bearing housing, and flywheel, both easily obtained and not 
expensive.Front mains are same .

You will require 4 x 1 5/16” rods, large rear main bearing housing and 30-32 type flywheel.

The flywheels are increasingly rare as many have been snapped up by those using 1 5/16” Pheonix shafts in their pre ‘30 cars. I have successfully machined later flywheels to suit however.

Many of the 1 5/16” rods available are cracked nowadays (for the same reasons as the lack of suitable good flywheels) - check carefully before fitting.

The 1 1/8” cranks supplies by David do mean you can use your existing parts, which is a good thing in my book.
