Completely agree Ian, removing actual barriers to smooth flow can only be good.
I draw the line at polishing more or less anything though!

Many thanks for all comments.
I am assuming that removal of carbon deposits from the ports is a good practise.
Also intending to match the system joints.
Just reading the old forum on exhaust diameter etc. and the use of copper pipe.
Reminds me of a MG PB I owned with a 2” final copper exhaust.
Not sure how this affected performance BUT WOW WHAT. SOUND !!!
