The material is now called Terne Plate II and uses zinc in place of the lead. I've heard original terne may still be available some place. A recent thread here, someone posted that Austin tanks were mild steel that were sealed with liquid solder. Would this have been the case or would terne have been used? The film of Austin rads being made, would indicate that liquid solder might have been used.
