Hole in the Floor - Colin Morgan - 05-02-2023

Hi,

What is this round hole for, please?  My car doesn't have one.

It is to adjust the brake pedal height, wing nut on brake rod. Only used on Ruby based models.

Thanks.  My floor's been replaced with sheet steel - from the side of a fridge or similar - so this feature is missing.

On my Ruby the cover for the hole is a circular piece of wood with a shoulder machined into it to prevent it falling through the hole. I don’t know if this is standard or if a previous owner has made it. The hole under the rear seat to lubricate the bearing between torque tube and prop shaft is a metal cover.

Somewhere else water can get in? And needs a 'round tuit' to fill the hole?

Good lord, if the ford is deep enough for water to enter through the brake access hatch, serious challenges are about to present themselves.
