guildtown 2022 good to be back - Tony Betts - 02-05-2022

Well it was good to be back at guildtown this year.

Familiar faces were just a little older looking than normal. Well we have missed 2 years.

Some exciting cars as usual.

First is the trophy winner for best in show, or everyone's favourite car.

Peter Pearson's, wragg single seat racer.

If my memory is correct number 8 of the 12 alan wragg cars made.

Running a blown engine, and attracting alot of attention.

A stunning little pram hood.

Originally made as a gray car, and nicknamed Elle after the elephant.

Another stunner from tom Abernathy.

Fresh to the road.

A stunning gordon England brooklands, with fabric body.

Now becoming a regular at guildtown.

Sandy's RTC.

Beautifully restored.

Everyone should recognise this one by now.

I may need correcting on this one.

Flat tailed speedex

A rearly seen car nowadays

2 stunningly restored pramhoods.

And an equally well restored R type  saloon "tophat"

Good to see 3 of the Cornwall cars in attendance.

The Cornwall flag always being a giveaway Wink

Not sure what they were expecting, but they came prepared.

I do love the attention to detail.

A gordon England cup.

Sand by own poorly Sad super sports.

It's not all bad, we still got a trophy.

I'll let R explain.

Love the alarm clock in the glovebox.

Well, i must say I regret having sold Mathildeux and thus not having an Austin7 to join in the jollies!

Hi Tony and all, Looks like a great time had by all, what’s up with the Super sports then is she not quite on song still? Hope nothing major. That grey chummy was part of the great British car Journey and was on display there for a bit. The brooklands replica looks very nice indeed. We got a good run out on the 8th May to the great British car journey with about 60 odd sevens booked in so hopefully be an enjoyable day with a 30 odd mile drive around the peaks.
