Buddy request - Duncan Grimmond - 13-03-2022

I've just received a buddy request from  "Organ tuner"  I would have replied but his/her reply section is disabled. Is this some sort of scam?
I've never had one of these before and wonder if it's because I really am Billy no mates and no one want to be my
friend ?  Cry

RE: Buddy request - Ivor Hawkins - 13-03-2022

I’m a righty carnivore Duncan, but I still like you mate!

RE: Buddy request - Tony Betts - 13-03-2022

personally id stay far away from anyone unknown to me, offering to tune my organ. Wink

although others on here may seek it.

Just in case any Scottish forumists would like to know, the German for bagpiper is “ dudelsackpfeifer.” Just thought I’d mention it before returning to the workshop.

RE: Buddy request - Duncan Grimmond - 13-03-2022

I can see the "sackpfeifer" bit is straightforward olde English from Germanic origin but what is a "dudel" I wonder? the direct translation offered by Google is dull...

RE: Buddy request - Oxford Jack - 13-03-2022

A direct translation is "Dull" but I think its what you do with a pencil on paper when a little bored.  Rolleyes

I will get Ivor's coat and go!
