Nice photos -is the blue truck a K6?

Why os OY so much wider than PJ? With sloping screen and less cross sectio it is surpriing Rubys do not seem to be any faster than previous.

The distortion is caused by the iPhone camera lens.

Certainly in the case of MK2 Rubies the construction of the framing is quite a bit heftier than earlier models, Bob. The doors alone are a lot heavier. Sticking to that theme, MK1s are odd because Austin introduced a lot of steel pressings to parts like the doors (which they later abandoned). This makes the doors seem less substantial than other models but they are again a lot heavier than an earlier door would be.

Thanks Dave
RP doors with curious armour plate in the bottom are not exactly light! Compared also with my 1960s Hillman I find modern tinfoil doors with thin glass incredibly light

Bumperless Rubies look great, particularly from the front.
