All American road trip - Tony Betts - 19-09-2019

Hi all,

For us, it's the end of another long hard summer. Keeping customers cars on the road.

Well trying, as some bits are get harder each year to supply.

So now it's time for our holiday.

Due to sorting postal orders right up to 9.30 am the day we fly out. we are as poorly prepared as last year.

At 10.00am wednesday we headed for the airport, nice and early. We had a fearly pleasant 10 hour flight. And then an absolute nightmare at the car rental desk. Much money latter it's sorted. And at 9.00pm usa time that's 3.00am UK time. we reach our first hotel absolutely knackered.

Now the holiday actually starts.

If you want to know we're we are, and are a car nut. Same as us. Here is were we are starting.

Plenty of clues in the pic.

Tony.

You are welcome to stick with us.

I'm sure there is plenty of car stuff to come.

Although austin 7s may be few and far between.

Tony.

You're coming here, just as I'm going there. One day, you'll have to visit the PNW, which is a bit like the UK in places, a bit like Switzerland in other places, and a bit like Spain in other places.

Hi erich,

It looks like we are swapping places.

We flew into Dallas last night.

And had to do all the fast and loud stuff today.

Starting with what everyone should know as gas monkey garage.

Wilst there the main man of the show, richard Rawlings turned up in a white utility.

Good to see he didn't mind coming over for a photo.

I guess other than the TV, is main claim to fame is his record time on the cannon ball run, if my memory is right.  31 hrs 59 mins.
