Hi joe,

I though I would have seen you there.

Hoped to see a red Ulster.

Thanks for putting the pic up.

The little black supersports took THIRDS place in show.

Well I say third place?

The trophy was awarded to the wrong car. The nicely turned out red Ruby,  (who would expect there to be two austin sevens there.). Not the secretary doing the paperwork. I'll add pic of the Ruby.

So to the trophy is in the post accepted as a JOINT THIRD.

The upside of TWO austin sevens getting a joint third place is,

There will be pictures of two austin sevens in the local papers. Showing off our amazing old sevens

Joint third place below.

Just as you think this show couldn't get any bigger, there must have another 200 vehicles on top of last year.

Sorry the pic doesn't show the size of the event.

The pic is half way up the high street.

And you can hardly see cars for people.

Sorry that was the wrong pic.

Plenty of angry wasks there.

The show attracts everything.

Steam roller anyone.

Somewere in here is the supersports.

I loved this four seat tourer.

It looked like a very nice spray job had been done. Then all the bits put back on without restoration. I like that not all the age has been lost.

Yes I think that chap with the red ruby is something to do with hinckley bid as that is always at the thursday evening meets in the summer, It was very busy and hard work with the daughter and pushchair!!! Well done for winning though it's a lovely car although I did fall in love with the rn saloon, Hope to drag dads 33 rp out next year, we bumped into Bob whilst there and was on the look out for you but there were hundreds of people!!

What came in first place then?

RE: Hinckley bid classic motor show hinckley - Tony Betts - 15-09-2019

Let's see you there, next year in a seven.

It all promotes our cars.

I can't help feeling, that only 4 austin sevens in a show that size is underselling the part our cars have played in motoring history.

We're is the club to put sevens forward?

Tony.

Would be good to get a stand together for the show as its local to, like you say to promote the cars and the club aswell, Thaught I'd share this pic of us last weekend at 750mc donington

I don't know what got first or second.

They seem to anounce reg numbers, and not the cars???

They should update there website some time though.

Tony.
