Ulster nose cones - Austin in the Shed - 18-08-2019

Ulster nose cones, I have seen the earlier ? type with the fixed starting starting handle and the "Later "with the screw on hex brass domed nut and removable starting handle,as the Speedy.
Does anyone know when they changed type?. I have seen photo's of blown and unblown cars with both.

Educated guess would be that the change point is the same as the engine change to the coil ignition type.
This would suggest 1928 as the earliest for the coil type crankcase.
The Sports models might have lagged behind to use old stock magneto engines though.
