I have discovered the original pot of paint that I used! It was called PANL Miller's Air Drying Lacquer; it is probably over seventy years old now, but it feels like the pot is still liquid and perhaps 1/3 full - I would guess enough for around half-a-dozen instrument panels. If anyone wants to try it, I rather think I shall have no further use for it, so make a donation to the Archive funds and I will send it on.
