Starter Grommet - williamsderbys - 05-10-2018

Does anyone have a suggestion for a grommet carrying the cable through the casting on a bacon slicer starter?
It looks a lot like the black one on old electric irons as it has an extended body.
I have made a wooden pattern but lack the skills to cast one in rubber.

I'm not sure whether the grommet in question is BD94 or 126.

Chris - I think it must be BD 94 as it refers to starter switch cables and says 3. (July 28 parts list page 17)
I suppose the other 2 would be for the 'progress' of the cables from battery to starter.
Perhaps thinking of getting some made but assume someone would want to make a lot and demand would be for say 10 at the most!

Chris, Could you make the grommet from a piece of rubber hose and an "0" ring?

What about one of these and just cut the end off?

If it is BD94 you require this is looks quite close:-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-Pcs-Rubber-Strain-Relief-Cord-Boot-Protector-Cable-Sleeve-Hose-49mm-Long/382419165512?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20151005190540%26meid%3Dd5e980b4e9e3431c9a64cf6af9dd5cce%26pid%3D100505%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D382419165512&_trksid=p2045573.c100505.m3226

It is for a hole diameter of 14 mm as opposed to 17/32" (13.5 mm). If it doesn't fit as is you should be able to cut a small bit out and re-glue it.

If you search for strain relief or sleeve grommet or cable sleeve you may find other possibilities.

Edit - Just noticed the long delivery on the above item. This one for a 13mm hole may be better:-
