The car I have been referring to here is the one described by Martin Jaggers in A7CA 2009D - steel, 6" longer.  I was hoping to let Martin know about this latest steel car turning up, but I cannot find the letter he sent me over ten years ago, so no longer have his address or phone number.

'My car' was a standard B-type Coupe I found abandoned in 2003, having been off the road since 1946, that was subsequently expertly restored by someone in the PWA7C, who retains it to this day.  

Apologies for any confusion... it will be interesting if any light can be shed on why these steel saloons were produced at this time.
